The Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestra | Band | Choir is a summer festival orchestra founded in 2019 to provide youth orchestra programs for children in the greater Los Angeles area and beyond, through both in-person and online platforms, inspiring more young generations to engage in the performing arts for life.
Our program aims to present an exceptional showcase of musical brilliance, where melodies soar, harmonies resonate, and the passion of our talented musicians reverberates throughout the concert hall. The culmination of participants’ hard work, extensive rehearsals, and commitment to musical excellence results in a performance that leaves a lasting impression on all attendees.
The LAYP Summer Program provides student musicians with an opportunity to showcase their talent, dedication, and relentless pursuit of musical excellence. Each participant brings forth unique skills, creativity, and passion to the stage, captivating the audience with exceptional performances at renowned concert venues such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The high-quality program, set in such an iconic venue, provides a transformative experience, revealing the powerful impact of music within its beautiful walls. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that the talent of our musicians touches the hearts and souls of those privileged to witness these incredible performances.
The organization as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity has been offering music education and youth orchestra programs to the children in downtown LA, running the LA Korean Youth Orchestra (https://koreanorchestra.com/) and Wesley Youth Orchestra (https://wesleyorchestra.wordpress.com/) as a year-round program, targeting the Korean-American community, and embracing multiple ethnic groups since 2004.
