Summer Season Ensembles:

• Orchestra 1: LA Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (LAYP): Playing level 9-12; mainly for high school students. The students in 8^th-9^th grades are assigned to either Orchestra 1 or Orchestra 2 for balance.
• Orchestra 2: LA Youth Symphony Orchestra (LAYS): Playing level 6-12; mainly for middle school and upper elementary students. Instruments such as English horn, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, guitar, and harp are allocated to each orchestra based on their repertoire’s instrumentation, regardless of school grade.
• Band 1: LA Youth Philharmonic Band: Playing level 9-12
• Band 2: LA Youth Symphonic Band: Playing level 6-12
• Choir 1: LA Youth Philharmonic SATB Singers: Singing level 5-12; Mainly for high & middle & school singers
• Choir 2: LA Youth SATB Symphony Chorus: Playing level 5-12; Mainly for college & adult singers

Summer Season Symphony Chorus: Local schools, children/youth/community choirs are welcome to join us as a symphony chorus. For more information on the application process, kindly email us at admin@layouthphilharmonic.com

Chamber Ensemble: Following the summer season, a chamber ensemble of modest proportions is formed upon registration. This ensemble is distinguished by its compact to medium size, comprising 12 to 25 instrumentalists. In the event of an influx of participants surpassing this capacity, multiple chamber ensemble groups will be established, and their rehearsal schedules will be appropriately reconfigured.
