Q: When do you sell concert tickets?
A: The Walt Disney Concert Hall Box Office will start selling tickets 4-6 weeks prior to the concert.
Q: I am an LAYP performer. Do I need a ticket for the concert?
A: No! You will receive a backstage pass when you complete all the requirements.
Q: We would like to purchase tickets, but have no idea where the best seats for us to watch are. Could you help us?
A: If you click link above and select a seat, you can see an audience view online (virtually). Please see the photos from the past summer concerts below and find each section placement for each honor group from the descriptions below.
LAYP Orchestra performers will be placed on the stage as follows (from audience view)
- Violin 1 & 2 on the left side of the conductor
- Viola, cello, & double bass on the right side of the conductor
- Woodwind: center view from the conductor
- French horn: center view from the conductor; behind the woodwind section
- Trumpet, trombone, & percussion: slight on the right view from the conductor
- Harp, guitar, & piano: on the left view from the conductor
LAYP Band performers will be placed on the stage as follows (from audience view)
- Flute Choir: on the left side of the conductor
- Cello Choir: on the right side of the conductor
- Oboe, clarinet: on the left side & center of the conductor
- Brass, saxophone, & bassoon: on the center & right side of (closed to the cello section) of the conductor
- Percussion: left or right sides & center from the conductor
LAYP SATB Choir: Invited Choirs, Chamber Singers, & Symphony Chorus performers will be placed on the stage as follows (from audience view)
- Soprano & Bass: on the left side of the conductor
- Alto & Tenor: on the right side of the conductor
