Testimonials 2026

Thanks & Testimonials

Dr. Jesse Biebesheimer (Parent of Bryce Biebesheimer, saxophone; Ethel Dwyer Middle School, 8th grade) Just wanted to leave a quick note of gratitude for all your efforts this week, which resulted in a magnificent performance last night.  You have a genuine gift for selecting a repertoire which showcases the incredible talent on stage and balances wonderful opportunities for soloists, choir, orchestra, and band alike.  It was truly impressive from the audience perspective, and I enjoyed the added experience of being present to photograph the dress rehearsal and watch your work firsthand.

In addition, we are grateful for the saxophone arrangements delivered by your talented musical staff, and would like to compliment Mr. Liptak’s outstanding work on the Symphonic Rondo, which is a fabulous and very moving composition.

Thank you again for allowing these talented young musicians to have such a memorable and professional experience!

Archer Cannella (Parents of Kiersten Cannelia, cello; El Camino Real Charter High School, 11th grade) I’d just like to say thank you for this opportunity for my daughter to participate. She performed in Concert 1 and had a very enjoyable and positive experience. Some of our family members were also able to attend, and overall it was a wonderful evening.

The entire program was extremely well organized. I very much appreciated the detailed updates, as well as all of your requests to send photos for pre-approval of things like the binder and the concert attire. I wish more programs did that. It really helps with consistency and shows that you’re very serious and committed. It also teaches the kids a thing or two along the way.

Thank you again for all your efforts and for being there for our kids!

Anne Cherchali (Parents of Elior Benayoun, violin; Beverly Hills High School) It was my son’s first experience with LAYP and he enjoyed everything about it – the friendly atmosphere, the exciting repertoire, the uplifting conductors…I, too, had such a great time observing all of these gifted musicians and singers during the dress rehearsal. As a professional violinist, teacher and youth orchestra coach myself, I was flabbergasted by the talent, the enthusiasm and the professionalism of these adorable kids and teens. They absolutely nailed that difficult repertoire in just one week, all that with a nice smile on their faces and a humble and friendly attitude. Well done. We will be back for sure, even if it means going through the terrible daily commute to Pasadena again next summer
